Must be a positive thinking, team oriented individual. An architectural license, healthcare project experience and experience working on Revit based projects is required. A Healthcare Architect must demonstrate a solid understanding of the aspects associated with the successful execution of healthcare related projects including but not limited to; architectural design methods, Department of Health code compliance, FGI standards, construction materials, production of construction documents, material procurement and construction administration. Must be attentive to detail and the production of high quality architectural drawings. Can be relied upon to present directly to clients on technical and design solutions and must be able to supervise the project team’s design and technical delivery.
Skills and objectives for position:
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and collaborate/coordinate with in-house staff/project team, clients and consultants
- Review and coordinate consultants’ documents and submissions
- Monitor project scope to assure compliance with client directions, design intent, schedule and budget
- Develop and organize construction documentation and detailing
- Produce accurate documents aligned with firm standards
- Experience with Certificate of Need (CON) requirements and filing process
- Communicates well, is willing to learn and take direction from senior management
Requirements:
- Architectural license (preferably NY state licensed or NCARB certification)
- Architectural technical background necessary
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited school (preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years architectural experience
- Current working knowledge in Autodesk Revit (preferred) and current working knowledge in Autodesk AutoCAD.

Must be a highly motivated, creative individual with an emphasis on medium to large size retail/mixed-use project design experience. Must have a quick analytical ability, strong hand and excellent computer presentation skills. He/ She will help develop schematic designs and plans with responsibility for the preparation of presentation drawings, models and narratives. The Senior Designer will also help coordinate all disciplines related to the building design. Position is on-site in our Syracuse, NY office.
Skills and objectives for position:
Ability and experience working on fast paced, developer-based projects
Ability to handle multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and successfully collaborate with in-house staff/project team, clients and consultants
Reviews work for design integrity, accuracy, clarity and quality
Contributes to the development of all design concepts and ensures adherence to these concepts throughout all phases of each project
Monitors project goals and objectives to ensure client's expectations are met
Presents designs to clients and review agencies
Engages in firm marketing and business development efforts
Requirements:
Architectural design background necessary
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited school (preferred)
Minimum 10 years architectural experience
Architectural license (preferred) or IDP candidate
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes
Proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, and techniques
Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop & Autodesk Revit (required)
Working knowledge in Adobe InDesign (preferred)
